Going over the novel, at work, does help. It improves on the detail information you might miss by watching the donghua. It also kinda confuses me a bit. I think the donghua made changes to the source, lol.

This Show is very vague and alot of the places he travels as well as how he gets there is unexplained aswell as the differences between Realms & the cultivation power levels ....I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone really unless they watched all other Cultivation shows like I have which helps your imagination fill in the blanks but it doesn't satisfy my love for details and wanting to understand every aspect of what is going on .....but i Imagine the novel cover more ground in that regard i just have never been much of a Bookworm

.....okay why fight in the car on the way to the whale thing? are you all...imbeciles??? this is my problem with this show - again, like that we get to see fight scenes but a lot of it feels unrealistic and contrived - unless chinese people really do just beef with everyone they meet??? like is that their culture??? because otherwise how could a running theme in donghua be "if i don't like them, i try to kill them" and "show me respect even if i dont deserve it or i'll kill you". like...i want fights to have a point! not just everyday, all the time, anyplace for basically no real reason...

Then they start these fights for no reason then have the fucking gall to get pissed off that the person they started the fight with decided to defend themselves from the attack. Then try to shift the blame from the crappy situation they found themselves in onto the person simply defending himself. How about this? How about everyone just stops attacking people for no reason?

I go to YouTube and can watch in 1080p with buffer to spare
I come here today and have to buffer 360p for 5 minutes every 30 seconds

The novel is very good but very long too (2015ch), the anime changed some things but for now are minimal. Some of them were that the three god was called Willow Deity and there were 3 eagles eggs at the beginning and not one.
